Paseo de Peralta at Washington
The Scottish Rite Temple as seen from near the corner of Paseo de Peralta and Washington Avenue.
Washington Avenue ends at this intersection. Bishops Lodge Road picks up where Washington leaves off, and takes you all the way to Tesuque Village.
There is only one block between here and the Plaza. You can tell you're near the center of town since this set of panoramas are tagged with so many things visible or near by.

Buy some post cards downtown, buy some stamps here, sit at the picnic bench and write your friends and relatives.
Across the street is where the Civic Center used to be and where construction is taking place to build a new one.
If you are a mural aficionado you will want to walk through the main doors of this building and see the large murals high up on the wall. Also, as you walk back to the Plaza (face Federal Place and go left), the building on the corner of Lincoln Ave. has a very large mural on the side of it.

Right in front of us is the US Court House.
During warmer months you often find picnic benches on the well-maintained grass around the corner, or at the other end of Federal Place by the Post Office.
